VAA Chapter 3 Fly-In
Darlington, SC
by Rick Jones
On Friday 10/03/2003, after work, Phil Vick and I loaded up the Super Cub and
headed for Darlington South Carolina. There were already forty planes on the
field when we arrived. The weather was perfect. When the sun went down, the
Chapter three crowd put on a feast of pulled pork and rice. It was GREAT! Then
the temp fell and we were off to the sleeping bags. The temperature came up
nicely Saturday morning and the planes started coming in over breakfast.
Jim Davis in his Cassutt was one of the first to arrive.
