Tom and Sandy Saccio's Seawind Project

Tom and Sandy Saccio purchased an old river house at the mouth of Blounts Creek where the creek opens up to the Pamlico river.  Having their priorities in order, the first thing they did was to build a nice hangar and boat ramp (amphib ramp). Following the hangar was the Seawind kit purchase. Now that the kit is well on it's way to becoming an aircraft, they've now begun construction of their new home. Talk about having a lot of irons in the fire. When they complete the house, the old one will be torn down as it's currently located on the taxiway between the hangar and the boat ramp.

The Seawind on it's gear but still supported buy fuselage jig.

Tom's taking a break for a little hangar flying.

Vrooom. :-)

In this photo you can see the Seawind's large interior. Check out the big canopy hanging over head.

This is a TALL bird. How many of us can say that we need scaffolding to work on our airplane project. Hanging the engine is going to be a real treat.
